A Cessna jet belonging to businessman Ricardo Stoppe, arrested on charges of defrauding carbon credits, has been parked for more than six months at Araçatuba airport (SP), without a specific destination.

According to a report made to the Panel, the aircraft prefix PR-AEG, year 1997, is at risk of deterioration, as it is located in an open area, subject to the weather, without being collected in a hangar, as would be more appropriate.

It was seized as part of Operation Greenwashing, which led to Stoppe’s arrest in early June.

The PF operation investigated an alleged scheme involving the grabbing of public lands in the south of Brazil, which generated a turnover of R$180 million.

The company Aeroportos Paulistas, which manages the Araçatuba (SP) runway, stated that the aircraft is “in the possession of the Federal Police, the competent authority to provide additional clarification on the subject”.

The PF, when contacted, did not say what destination it intended to give to the aircraft and whether it has had maintenance or any type of protection.
