The meeting of Lula government representatives with social movements at Palácio do Planalto next week created dissatisfaction with the people, who have been asking to be received for some time.
It will take place next Monday (16) and will bring together around 300 leaders, from entities that are part of the Social Participation Council.
“We asked shortly after the announcement of the package to talk to the government and we had no response. We don’t want to go there to applaud, but to address various issues that are worrying the working class as a whole, such as changes in the readjustment of the minimum wage, in the BPC (Continuous Payment Benefit) and INSS”, says João Carlos Gonçalves, Juruna, general secretary of Força Sindical.
He says that dissatisfaction is common to the six centers represented in the forum of workers’ entities (CUT, Força Sindical, CTB, UGT, CSB and Nova). “We want to be received as representatives of the workers,” he says.
