Coca-Cola Brasil announced this Friday the investment of R$550 million in the expansion of its Recofarma concentrates factory, in Manaus, the fourth largest Coca-Cola operation in the world.
“This investment not only increases our production capacity, but also strengthens our commitment to creating a positive legacy for the region,” said the president of The Coca-Cola Company for Brazil and the Southern Cone, Luciana Batista, in a press release.
In addition to the executive, the inauguration of the unit’s expansion was also attended by the vice-president and minister of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (Mdic), Geraldo Alckmin, senator Omar Aziz (PSD-AM) and others authorities.
According to Coca-Cola Brasil, Recofarma is the largest exporter from the Manaus Industrial Complex (PIM), serving several markets in Latin America. The expansion is part of the company’s investments in Amazonas.
