The police received a notification that there was a domestic dispute in the apartment and that the life and health of persons could be in danger, early on Saturday morning. The man was alone in the apartment when the police arrived. “It was necessary to act quickly and above all carefully, as there was a real risk that the person would carry out his threats to use a sharp object, but also that the life of the person and the intervening police officers would not be endangered“, the police report.
After more than three hours of communication and negotiation, the police managed to enter the apartment. The man was pacified using coercive means and escorted to the police station. “Alcohol also played a role in this case. Fortunately, only verbal threats remained in domestic disagreements,” the police added, adding that due to the sensitivity of the case, they would not provide more information.
