Broths are an absolutely integral part of soups. But what about making your own homemade broth? Its advantage is that it is absolutely chemical-free. See how to prepare it.
Broth is an extract that is obtained from the slow cooking of the ingredients used. You probably all know it, mostly probably from soups. But broth is not only used in soups, you can use it, for example, to prepare various sauces or flavor certain dishes.
The cooking time of the broth is very indefinite. Sometimes the broth can only take half an hour to cook, but in other cases it can take up to 2 days. Time is unpredictable. Do you want to prepare your own homemade broth? Don’t worry, its preparation is quick and easy.

How to make broth
Broth certainly comes in handy in the kitchen. But have you ever read its composition? Purchased broths are definitely not made from 100% natural foods and contain a lot of chemicals. That’s why it’s better if you make the broth at home. Its preparation is not that complicated, and most importantly, you will know that you made it from your own ingredients. The first thing you need to do is wash the vegetables.
The ideal combination is zucchini, celery, carrots, onions and potatoes. However, you can supplement these ingredients with, for example, other vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, such as basil, or spices such as garlic powder, black or red pepper, and so on. Wash all ingredients carefully and remove dirt.
The second step is to dry the washed vegetables and then cut them into small cubes. The smaller the vegetable cubes, the easier and faster they will cook. First, cut the potatoes and put them in the water.
While you are chopping other vegetables, the potatoes will get rid of excess starch in the water. Once you have all the vegetables chopped, take a pan, put oil on it and heat it on medium heat. Then fry the onion in a heated pan. Then add the potatoes to the onion and leave them in the pan for about 4 minutes until they soften nicely.

Then add the rest of the ingredients, except for the parsley. Mix all the vegetables in the pan well and let them cook for about 20 minutes until soft. Stir everything occasionally. Then add a generous amount of salt and mix with the rest of the ingredients.
Cook for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then take an immersion blender and use it to blend the broth directly in the pan. The broth should have a mushy texture. Finally, you can add parsley to the mixture. Once the parsley has combined with the rest of the mixture, cook for a moment to remove excess water. And you’re done. Finally, pour the broth into ice molds and put in the freezer. And you have homemade bouillon cubes with zero chemicals.
