Prime Minister Luís Montenegro met with the ministers one by one and gave orders to show service, showing everything they do or intend to do.
Show, show, show – are the Prime Minister’s orders to the ministers.
According to the newspaper, the head of the Executive met with the ministers, one by one, and asked them to show all the work that is in progress – both day-to-day work and the “structural transformations” that are being made.
Luis Montenegro want (and even created a slogan) “A Government on the Move”.
Shortly after the approval of the State Budget for 2025, Montenegro called all ministers to São Bento for individual meetings, in which he planned with each one the work for the next year and – a Government source told Expresso – “put pressure on ministers not to slow down”.
And “Execute”?
To execute is another word that cannot be forgotten in São Bento. According to the Executive source, the action priorities for the coming months have already been defined:
- reinforce security;
- housing construction;
- reduce and simplify taxes;
- prioritize immigration policies;
- reform and modernize Public Administration;
- recover public services, in Education and Health;
- and execute the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR);
Another Government source adds that the plan involves not only implementing what has already been decided, but also launch new projects.
As the weekly writes, Luís Montenegro also considers it fundamental “take away the spotlight” of cases that became a political problem, as happened first with the Minister of Internal Administration, , then with the Minister of Health, , and more recently with the Minister of Culture, .
