The president asks the government to hire at least 500 more professionals.
“What we want is to also review the rates that are determined” for primary health care, by number of inhabitants, appeals Liliana Sousa. The ideal, she points out, would be “to be able to have at least one nutritionist for every 10 thousand inhabitants”.
Currently, there are 461 in the NHS, which means that there is only one nutritionist for every 20 thousand inhabitants.
A meeting with the minister is also requested, where the order also hopes to talk about career development.
