Bananas contain not only vitamins but also minerals. Potassium deeply moisturizes the skin, preventing it from drying out. The natural enzymes and antioxidants contained in this fruit brighten the complexion, reduce swelling and soothe irritations. All these ingredients make banana an ideal home cosmetic – it smoothes wrinkles, moisturizes and gives the skin a healthy glow.

A banana mask is the perfect solution when you want an immediate smoothing and refreshing effect on your skin. The recipe is extremely simple and doesn’t take much time, which we have so little of in the pre-Christmas rush.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana (the softer the better)
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (moisturizes and has antibacterial properties)
  • 1 teaspoon of natural yogurt or olive oil (for additional hydration and soothing)

Mash the banana with a fork into a smooth paste and add honey and yogurt. If you don’t have yogurt, you can replace it with a little olive oil. Mix the mass thoroughly until you obtain a uniform consistency. The banana mask will bring the best results if you use it once or twice a week.
