The leader of the Government in Congress, senator (PT-AP), said this Saturday (Dec 14, 2024) that he will decree the general’s (PL) preventative “not a reason for celebration”. The congressman declared, however, that the measure represents an advance for Brazil as a constitutional democracy.

The congressman’s statement about there being no reason to celebrate was criticized on X (formerly Twitter). Some internet users did not agree with the senator’s message.
