This Sunday (15/12), Sada Cruzeiro faces Trentino Itas, from Italy, in the final of the Men’s Volleyball Club World Cup 2024. The game will take place at 2:30 pm (Brasília time), at Arena Sabiazinho, Uberlândia (MG) .
The teams have already faced each other in this World Cup, in the third and final game of the group stage. Needing to win to continue in the competition, Cruzeiro beat a mixed team from Trentino by 3 sets to 2, which was already classified and spared the main players.
It will be the second World Cup final in history between Cruzeiro and Trentino. In 2012, in Doha, Qatar, the Italian team won by 3 sets to 0.

The Minas Gerais team is the second biggest winner of the competition, with four titles (2013, 2015, 2016 and 2021). Furthermore, it is the only Brazilian club with a title in the tournament.
Trentino is the biggest champion, with five cups (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2018).
In this 2024 edition, the team from Minas Gerais advanced in second place in Group B, with two wins and one defeat. In the semi-final, this Saturday (14/12), the team beat Foolad Sirjan Iranian, leader of Group A, by 3 sets to 1.

On the other hand, the Italian team was the leader of Group B, also with two wins and one defeat, and faced Lube Civitanova in the semi-final, winning 3-0.
