Lula will be able to resume his work activities normally. “After being discharged from hospital, the president will stay in São Paulo for a few days”, says Dr Roberto Kalil. “You can hold meetings, within the coherence and protocol of a patient who had a hemorrhage and underwent surgery”, he maintains, highlighting that the next month will still involve medical monitoring.
The interview was given by cardiologist Roberto Kalil Filho, neurologist Rogério Tuma, neurosurgeon Marcos Stávale, the president’s doctor, Ana Helena Gremoglio, and doctor José Guilherme Caldas, who performed the embolization procedure on the president.
Stávale stated that monitoring the healing process is part of the reason for staying in the capital of São Paulo for the next few days.
The medical team’s prediction is that he will be able to return to Brasília on Thursday. The president will also undergo a CT scan before his trip, on Thursday. Physical exercise is prohibited by the medical team in the coming weeks.
