Bets for Mega da Virada can now be placed and, in this edition, the contest will pay the highest amount in history, estimated at R$600 million for whoever gets all six numbers right.

According to Caixa Econômica Federal, the chance of winning is one in 50 million — the more numbers, the greater the chances.

With 20 games already, the possibility of winning R$600 million becomes greater, with the chance going from one in around 1,200.

As the prize does not accumulate, if no player matches the six tens, the amount will be divided between the winners of the five tens and so on.

Check out the chances of winning in the table below:

Prize composition

The distribution of the amount collected is traditionally done as follows:

  • 62% are for the first range — six hits (sena);
  • 19% are for the second lane — five hits (corner);
  • 19% are for the third range — four hits (four).

The main prize, with all six scores correct, is made up of:

  • 62% of the gross percentage allocated to prizes, from the proceeds of the Mega da Virada contest;
  • 5% of the accumulated total of each regular Mega-Sena contest held throughout the year;
  • 22% of the accumulated total of the four immediately previous competitions (accumulation for final 0 or 5 competitions);
  • The total accumulated in the first bracket (sena) of the previous competition, if any.

Therefore, the greater the number of bets, the greater the revenue and the chances of increasing the estimated value of the lottery prize.

Bet sales can be made until 5pm on December 31st – the day the draw takes place. The result can be followed via live broadcast via or profile.

The drawn numbers will also be available on .
