Police operation at Manauara Shopping arrests one and continues to search for others involved; no injuries reported
This Saturday morning (Dec 14, 2024), a robbery at the Vivara jewelry store in Manauara Shopping, in Manaus, triggered a shootout. THE (Amazonas Public Security Secretariat) reported that the incident left no injuries.
The police operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect and the recovery of some of the stolen items.
SSP-AM highlighted the efficiency of the response to crime, attributing the success to the presence of the POG (General Ostensive Policing) of the (Amazonas Military Police) near the shopping mall.

The SSP-AM (Public Security Secretariat of Amazonas) informs that the PM-AM (Military Police of Amazonas) arrested a man who participated in the attempted robbery of a shopping mall in the central-south zone of Manaus, this Saturday morning. (Dec 14). Teams from PM-AM, PC-AM (Amazonas Civil Police) and SSP continue to search for others involved in the incident. There were no injuries during the action.
The mall announced that it will reopen soon, minimizing the impact on commercial operations. Vivara, in turn, registered the incident and reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the authorities, prioritizing the safety of customers and employees.
