Sada Cruzeiro became the team with the most titles in the Men’s Volleyball World Cup. This Sunday (15/12), the team won the penta after beating Trentino by 3 sets to 1.
In addition to this year’s achievement, Sada Cruzeiro also won the championships in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2021 and 2024. Now, they are on par with Trentino, an Italian team that until then was the biggest champion of the competition in isolation.

How was the 2024 Men’s Volleyball Club World Cup?
Sada Cruzeiro advanced to the semifinals in second place in Group B, with two wins and one defeat. In the semi, the team beat Foolad Sirjan Iranian, leader of Group A, by 3 sets to 1.
On the other side, Trentino Itas was the leader of Group B, also with two wins and one defeat, and faced Lube Civitanova in the semi-final, winning 3-0.
Cruzeiro and Trentino had faced each other before the final. It was in the third and final game of the group stage. Needing to win to continue in the competition, Cruzeiro beat a mixed team from Trentino by 3 sets to 2, which was already classified and spared the main players.
In the final, the team from Minas Gerais won by 3 sets to 1 (25/22, 19/25, 25/16 and 25/22). Cruzeiro’s captain, opposite Wallace, was the highlight of the decision, with 23 points.
