A 36-year-old driver lost his life in a tragic traffic accident that happened on Sunday morning on the road from the village of Baška in the district of Košice-okolie to Košice. Košice regional police spokeswoman Jana Mésarová informed TASR about this. “The driver was driving a personal motor vehicle. In a right-hand bend, probably due to not adjusting the driving speed, condition and nature of the road, he went off the road and hit a tree“, she said, saying that he had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
During the autopsy, it will be determined whether alcohol or drugs may have contributed to the accident. The vehicle was impounded for expert examination. In connection with this accident, the police initiated a criminal investigation for the crime of homicide.
