President-elect of the United States Donald Trump appointed this Saturday (14) the CEO of Truth Social (the Republican’s social network), Devin Nunes, to serve as chairman of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Council.

Nunes, a former congressman and longtime Trump supporter, will remain CEO of Truth Social for as long as he holds the role. The Republican ally led the US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee during part of Trump’s first term in the White House.

As chairman of the committee, Nunes alleged that the FBI conspired against Trump during his election, in which the Republican defeated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

“Devin will use his experience as former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and his key role in exposing the Russia, Russia, Russia fraud, to provide me with independent assessments of the effectiveness and appropriateness of the activities of the U.S. Intelligence Community,” he said.
