Turkey is ready to provide military assistance to the new government in Syria if it requests it, Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Güler said on Sunday. TASR reports according to the AFP agency.

At the same time, the Turkish Ministry of the Interior said on Sunday that more than 7,600 refugees returned to Syria through the Turkish border in the five days after Assad’s fall.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya wrote on the X platform that the total number of Syrians “who voluntarily returned home from Turkey” between December 9 and 13″ is 7,621, writes AFP.
