HDMI 2.2 should be introduced in the first few days of the new year. It will have “a wide range of resolutions and higher refresh rates”.
Os cabos HDMI greatly improved the quality of image over the last few years, both on televisions and computers.
Widely used in connections from a box to a television, for example, the acronym HDMI itself means High-Definition Multimedia Interfacethat is, high definition multimedia interface.
High definition, in this context, took a brake from 2017. In the last 7 years there have been no relevant updates since the cable appeared HDMI 2.1. Only subtle (and few) changes were implemented.
But this will change in a few daysaccording to the portal.
On January 6th, and on the eve of the start of another edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (Las Vegas, USA), the cabo HDMI 2.2.
The announcement is not yet official. But an email from the HDMI Forum, the entity responsible for this standard, announces that a new feature is coming that “allows a wide range of resolutions and higher refresh rates”.
This new feature “will be supported with a novo cabo HDMI” – and this is what we know. There are no further details for now.
The current version of HDMI cables – 2.1b – supports bandwidths of up to 48 Gbps and resolutions up to 10K.
In other words, the next generation of HDMI technology will have greater bandwidth.
But it is not known whether a record completely nova, the current ones need to be replaced.
Or if, as predicted by , the plug will keep up and it will be “a hellish confusion” to find out which generation each cable belongs to.
