Colombian Jhancarlos González, 27, who suffered a serious accident while trying to complete a trick during the SLS (Street League Skateboarding) Super Crown this Sunday (15), in São Paulo, suffered cuts to his mouth and eyebrow, but is in a stable condition, according to information from the event organizers.

During the first round of tricks, the skateboarder suffered a bad fall, landing on his face. He apparently fell unconscious on the track and was taken out on a stretcher by the medical team.

According to the championship organization, he left the scene conscious and was taken to Hospital São Paulo, in the south of the capital, for evaluation.

The competitors were quite shaken after the accident, with some of them crying before returning to the contest.

“The only thing that made everyone calm down was the fans. Without that, I don’t think we would have walked. We’re family. It was tense, but thank God he’s fine”, said Brazilian Giovanni Vianna, champion in 2023 and second this year, behind American Nyjah Huston.

In the female category, 16-year-old Brazilian Rayssa Leal made history by becoming the first three-time champion of the competition.
