This private social solidarity institution responds to the needs of some parents who work shifts or night shifts.
A daycare center opened this Monday in Braga that operates with extended hours. It will be open between 06:30 and 00:30 every day of the week and also on Saturday. The objective is to serve parents who work rotating and night shifts.
“The fact that I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule allows me to adjust my schedule. I travel between Braga and Guimarães practically every day, I’m a university professor, I have meetings at the end of the day and this time is very good for the type of activity I carry out”, Lígia told SIC.
This private social solidarity institution comes to meet the needs of some parents who work shifts or night shiftsas is the case with Sofia, Tiago’s mother.
“I work in a shopping mall, he [o pai] He works night shifts and so it’s easier for us.”
The nursery received more than 400 registrations for 92 places. There are six rooms for children between zero months and three years old. Clube dos Pequenos is one of six daycare centers in Portugal that operates at night and on weekends.
