The president () was discharged from hospital this Sunday (15) after six days of hospitalization. He went to his home in the Pinheiros region, in São Paulo, where he should stay until next Thursday.
The agent had one on Tuesday (10) due to a three-centimeter hematoma between the brain and one of the membranes (meninges) that surround the organ.
The clot was detected after he felt severe headaches on Monday (9), when he was taken to Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in São Paulo.
Lula will have a CT scan on Thursday. After that, you can go to Brasília.
According to cardiologist Roberto Kalil, the PT member’s doctor, he will have some restrictions over the next 30 days, such as intense physical activity and international travel. Lula must still have tomographic monitoring until complete healing, which can take 45 to 60 days.
The president spoke to journalists after his medical team’s press conference. He was with First Lady Rosângela da Silva, known as Janja.

He stated that, therefore, he continued his life normally, including doing more intense physical exercise. Lula reported, however, that he realized something was wrong when, on Monday (9), he noticed symptoms such as sluggishness, red eyes and a lot of sleep. He then said he contacted doctors to talk about the condition.
“I only became aware of the severity after the surgery was completed, after the head was new,” he said, saying that he would take care of himself and follow medical advice in the coming days.
“You know that I claim the right to live up to 120 years, because whoever is going to live 120 years has already been born, and I think I have the right to claim that it’s me”, he joked.
During his speech to the press, the president also commented on the arrest of General Braga Netto, former minister and vice-president on the 2022 ticket ().

The PT member stated that he is patient and democratic, defending due legal process for Braga Netto and others indicted in the coup plot. He said, however, that there must be punishment if those involved are found guilty.
“I will demonstrate to you that I have more patience and am democratic. I think he [Braga Netto] You have every right to the presumption of innocence. What I didn’t have, I want them to have: all the right and all the respect for the law to be fulfilled. But if these guys did what they tried to do, they will have to be severely punished,” he said.
“This country had people who did 10% of what they did and who were killed in prison. It is not possible for us to accept disrespect for democracy, it is not possible for us to accept disrespect for the Constitution and it is not possible for us to admit that, in a generous country like Brazil, we have people with high military rank plotting the death of a President of the Republic, plotting the death of his vice [Geraldo Alckmin] and plotting the death of a judge who was president of the supreme electoral court [Alexandre de Moraes]”.
Lula said it was his desire for Brazil to return to its “democratic normality”, with respect for institutions. “Each person plays their role, each monkey on his own, everything will be resolved in this country”, he said.

A day after the procedure, the president released images walking in the hospital corridors. On the occasion, he thanked messages and prayers, saying he was “firm and strong”, and began to have “semi-intensive” care, with monitoring at extended intervals.
According to doctors, he is recovering well and has “perfect cognition and memory.” The team also informed that the president can continue normally with the typical activities of the position, including participating in meetings. What he should avoid are intense physical activities and long trips.
“What is important is for us to understand that the patient [Lula] does not have a disease. He had an incident, a problem related to the fall [de outubro]. Once this problem is resolved, it is not something that becomes chronic, it is resolved. He is cured of this”, said neurologist Rogério Tuma, highlighting that there is time for complete healing to occur after surgery.
In addition to Tuma, doctors José Guilherme Caldas, cardiologist Roberto Kalil Filho, neurosurgeon Marcos Stávale and Ana Helena Germoglio participate in the conference.
