The Italian Prime Minister, in her speech at the Youth Festival of her party, Adelfia di Italy, which ends today in Rome, referred to the action of her government.
“Within two years, we created almost one million jobs. Silvio Berlusconi, who had turned the creation of -exactly- one million jobs into his flag, would be proud if he was told that the government that he helped to create, did it in two years,” stressed the Melon.
At the same time, referring to the European reality, she added:
“Now that we have put the European elections behind us, I consider that I have fulfilled my obligation and I want to announce that I am going to resign as the president of the European Conservatives. It is a political family that deserves to have a full-time president.”
It should be noted, however, that the impending change of guard, in the group of European Conservatives, has been known for some time. “I believe that my friend, Mateusz Morawiecki, will be among the new candidates. He became Prime Minister of Poland, he is a great conservative and a friend of Italy. Today’s applause, in this room, confirms that we will support him in his new battle”.
Georgia Meloni said she was optimistic about the possibility of operating the two centers for asylum seekers that Italy has created in northern Albania and which, for several weeks, have been empty due to negative court decisions.
“The centers for migrants in Albania will work, even if it requires me to deal with the whole thing, every night, from now until the end of our government term. Because I want to fight the mafia and I ask the whole Italian State, from decent people, to help me fight it. I am not the enemy, I am an honest person,” underlined the head of the Italian government.
Georgia Meloni emphasized that she believes that her government is characterized by political stability that “guarantees international credibility, without which prosperity cannot be produced” and also wished “good work” to the newly elected American Prime Minister.
“Italy and the United States are, have been and will be staunch allies, no matter who rules. There is cohesion, I am a woman of the right, I have no difficulty in discussing with everyone if Italy needs it, but I am certainly happy to be able to be in dialogue with American conservatives. The Italians chose me to defend our national interest and that is what I will do, whoever my interlocutor is,” concluded the Italian Prime Minister.
