After winning the Ballon d’Or for the best player in the world by France Football, Manchester City midfielder Rodri is among those nominated for FIFA The Best. The winners will be announced this Tuesday (17/12), at 2pm (Brasília time).
Outside of the current season, Rodri suffered an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) – a rupture of one of the main ligaments that stabilize the knee joint.
Just like in the Ballon d’Or, the Spaniard competes with Vini Jr. The presents the main achievements of the player’s career.

Rodri’s titles, goals and records
At 28 years old, the Manchester City midfielder was a protagonist for the club and the team, which won the European Cup. He was deservedly chosen as the best player in the competition.
In the 2023/24 season, he played 50 games, with nine goals and 13 assists. He played in the Champions League, English League Cup, FA Cup, English Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Rodri also holds a historic football record after reaching, in May, the mark of 74 unbeaten games with the City shirt, surpassing Paolo Maldini and Demetrio Albertini, both with 73 games.
