Calendar winter 2024 officially starts on Sunday, December 22. Despite the still ongoing autumn, residents of many regions of Poland have already experienced the first snowfall of this year, and there will be more and more of them as time passes.
White down adds a magical atmosphere, but it can also be problematic. After all, for safety reasons, it must be regularly removed from sidewalks, driveways and stairs. Nobody likes to waste time on this. Fortunately, there are tricks that can speed up snow removal.

Even if you don’t like shoveling snow, it’s your responsibility. This doesn’t mean, however, that you have to waste all day shoveling snow. The right tools and tricks will make this task easier for you. Start by choosing the best snow shovel.
It should be solidly made – with metal reinforcements and a stable handle. Heavier tools made of solid wood also work well. They weigh more than plastic ones, but they are better at carrying wet snow and ice, so they will be perfect as long as you are strong enough to lift them.

However, you can make working outdoors even easier. All you need to do is use a simple trick. Grease the snow shovel with a cheap product from the kitchen cabinet, namely… oil.
Just a little bit is enough (plain Vaseline will also work great) Do it 5 minutes before going out to the garden, spreading the product using a spray bottle or by hand.
This will solve the annoying problem of snowflakes sticking to the surface of the tool (snow will slide off the oily surface). It has long been known that white fluff sticking to the shovel makes the snow removal process longer and more tiring.
