The theme of writing in the second phase of Fuvest 2025university entrance exam USP (University of São Paulo), it was about “social relations through solidarity” and divided the opinion of more than 28 thousand candidates who took the test this Sunday (15).
There are those who found it easy. Others rated it as complicated to work with. The main subject did not generate surprise among the teachers interviewed by the CNNfollowing the tradition of “oscillating between philosophical and social themes”.
According to Sérgio Paganim, writing professor at the Anglo Course, he presented different faces of solidarity, with a diverse collection of supporting texts, which “allows broad analysis possibilities”.
For Rafael Colucci, writing teacher at Escola SEB Lafaiete, the “test followed the standard and brought philosophy to help the student understand the topic and how to direct it in writing”.

On this first day (15) of the second phase, the candidates also responded:
- 10 Portuguese discursive questions.
The second day, on Monday (16), varies according to the course chosen by the candidate, with the following questions:
- 12 questions from two to four subjects specific to the career enrolled.
For example, if the student is applying to law school, he will answer geography, history and mathematics questions on the second day. The list of courses and tests for the second phase is available at .
When do the results come out?
The official results of the entrance exam will be published on the Fuvest page on the day January 24, 2025. Two registration call lists will be made available, in addition to the waiting lists.
Vacancies at USP
The total number of vacancies available at USP is 8.1474,888 of which are for broad competition; 2,053 for people graduating from public schools; and 1,206 for self-declared public school graduates black, black or brown, and indigenous.
