Are you watering your fern and have no idea why the fern leaves are drying up? The problem doesn’t have to be a lack of hydration, though it’s obvious that it needs to be given water regularly because it comes from humid areas.

It also naturally grows in shady areas, so you can’t place the fern in too bright a place with direct sunlight. In such conditions, it dries easily and its leaves discolor unsightly.

The plant should be planted in fertile, permeable, slightly acidic soil (ready-made mixture or a mixture of compost soil, sand and peat with the former predominating).

It is worth placing it in a room with a temperature of 18 to 25 degrees Celsius – where there is diffused light. It should not be on a windowsill right above a red-hot radiator or next to an open window, because there the fern may be exposed to drafts, dry air and temperature changes.and he doesn’t like them.

Watering ferns in winter should be done once a week. The most important thing, however, is to provide it with soft, boiled and cooled water each time. However, water alone is not always enough to restore it to perfect condition if the plant has already died.

In winter, it is worth giving the fern fertilizers once a month – store-bought or home-made (every 2-3 weeks in summer). However, the latter are cheaper and work just as effectively. One of the most effective ones can be prepared quickly using a product that is usually added to coffee or cake.

It is powdered milk that will provide the plant with calcium, which will strengthen the roots of the fern and stimulate it to grow. Mix 100 ml of the product with 1 liter of water (boiled) and water the flower. After a few such treatments, it will start growing new leaves.
