For the holidays, you can prepare a salad based on it radish with cream, leek and peas. It is worth including a dose of sweet corn in all combinations, which will refresh the whole, or sour pickled cucumber. They will also fit in very well with the Christmas Eve atmosphere salads with beetroot.

The recipe that worked well for me on Christmas Eve, instead of the traditional vegetable salad, was a carrot and onion salad. It is in preparation cheap, simple and quick, and it tastes delicious. I was afraid that my family would react badly to changing a much-loved dish. They were delighted even now everyone is waiting for him to show up again for the holidays.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g carrots,
  • 500 g of onion,
  • 6 eggs,
  • 2 tablespoons of cream,
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard,
  • 10 tablespoons of vinegar,
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar,
  • sun,
  • pepper.

How to do it:

Hard boil the eggsand then grate them on a large-hole grater. Wash, peel and grate the carrot on a large grater. Pour water into the pot and bring it to a boil. Grated carrots throw into boiling water, cook for 4 minutesthen put it out using a slotted spoon or strain it using a strainer.

Cut the onion into medium-sized cubes. Place 500 ml of water in the pot and add it 10 tablespoons of vinegar and 4 tablespoons of sugar. Mix everything, bring to a boil and then add the onion. Cook it for 10 minutes and after this time strain.

Place eggs, carrots and onion in a large bowl. Add sour cream, mustard, mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly. The festive carrot and onion salad is ready to serve.
