The Argentine Championship has a new owner: Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield. On Sunday night (15), El Fortín did its homework, beat Huracán 2-0 at the José Amalfitani Stadium, and secured the title in the last round of the competition.

The blue and white winning goals were scored by Damián Fernández and Claudio Aquino. The club from the Liniers neighborhood ends an 11-year streak without winning the First Division.

there was also Talleres, who lost to Newell’s Old Boys and said goodbye to their chances, and Huracán himself, who needed to beat Vélez to dream of the cup.

However, the team coached by Gustavo Quinteros dispelled the ghosts of recent stumbles and confirmed the title alongside their fans.
