Camutanga continues to recover from knee surgery Credit: Disclosure
Defender Camutanga, even after the end of the Brazilian Championship, continues in the recovery process after surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament and the medial collateral ligament of his right knee, carried out in July this year. The estimated payback time is eight to nine months.
Until Friday (20), Camutanga will continue to take care of himself and comply with the schedule drawn up by the Health and Performance Center. The defender works with the aim of maintaining range of motion, returning muscle strength, proprioception and treating muscular deficits and imbalances.
In addition to activities on the gym equipment, Camutanga runs races around the CT Manoel Pontes Tanajura fields. The defender’s return, however, will follow the rehabilitation protocol for this type of surgery.
Wearing the Leão shirt, the defender took to the field 73 times, scoring six goals and contributing one assist. For the Bahian club, Camutanga participated in the campaigns to win Series B in 2023 and the Campeonato Baiano this year.
