Education meets with the competition committee: “If the contract ends, we will look for another company”

The Department of Education and representatives of Nosso Rumo – the company responsible for executing the department’s largest public competition – will discuss this Tuesday (17) the situation of the competition, which had the tests canceled due to reports of irregularities.

In an interview with the Em Cena podcast, from ContilNetthis Monday (17), secretary Aberson Carvalho says that he expects the panel to decide to re-administer all the tests and not just at the Djalma Teles school, as the company wishes.

“We will sit down this Tuesday to discuss with the company. Let’s design a new format. If they refuse to apply the evidence, we will go to court and hire another company. Then, if that happens, the process stops and we go to square 0”, said the secretary.

“The company wants to invest only in Djalma. And our intention is to reapply 100%. We won’t give up. If she doesn’t want it, we’ll break the contract and hire another company. The State will guarantee that all those who signed up have free access to the process, and we carry out the test in this way. But we believe that the company will want to apply again”, he added.

If the contract with Nosso Rumo is terminated, the Government will not redo the registrations, but will use the already registered database.

“If that happens, we will go back to square 0, with a different schedule. We will not open new registrations, but will use the bank we already have, with registrations already made. These subscribers are already there. Let’s continue with the same people. If you haven’t signed up, you can no longer sign up”, he concluded.
