Federal deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) will send a request to the Minister of Defense, José Múcio, questioning how the Army intends to deal with the general’s arrest from an administrative point of view.
The biggest concern, says Lindbergh, is the influence that Braga Netto, a four-star general, may have on those responsible for his detention, in the 1st Army Division, in Vila Militar, in Rio de Janeiro.
“Minister Alexandre de Moraes’ decision [do STF] establishes a series of conditions, such as not meeting other lawyers and speaking only with lawyers. That place where he is imprisoned cannot become a center of conspiracies”, says the congressman, who from February will take on the leadership of the PT in the Chamber of Deputies.

“He has a lot of authority before the military. The concern is that he won’t use that space to engage in politics”, says the PT deputy.
For Lindbergh, Moraes could analyze these facts and eventually decide on another place to keep the general imprisoned, away from people hierarchically inferior to him.
“We had the precedent all along,” he says.
