Opinion by senator Confúcio Moura (MDB-RO) establishes that the government will have to aim for the center of the zero deficit target by October 2025
The rapporteur of the LDO (Budget Guidelines Law), senator (MDB-RO), presented the final opinion this Monday (Dec 16, 2024). One of the items determines that the government of the president (PT) a aim for the center of the fiscal target in 2025 by October.
If the goal is not reached by then, the government will only be able to focus on the lower limit of the target from November onwards. Let’s go (PDF – 34 MB).
The expectation is that the text will be voted on on Tuesday (Dec 17), at 3 pm, at the CMO (Mixed Committee on Plans, Public Budgets and Inspection) of Congress.
