An act of courage prevented a robbery on a street in the Irineu Serra neighborhood, in Rio Branco, on Monday night (16). A resident, who was walking alone towards her home, was approached by two armed criminals on a motorcycle.
Fortunately, a resident noticed the dangerous situation and stopped his car, telling the woman to get in quickly to escape the imminent danger. The information comes from journalist Altino Machado, who posted the video and reported the situation on social media.

The immediate reaction of an ordinary citizen highlighted the growing feeling of insecurity on the streets of neighborhoods far from the capital.
The lack of police patrols, especially on Estrada Raimundo Irineu Serra, has been a growing concern among residents of the region. According to reports from Altino, the Acre Military Police do not carry out regular patrols in the area, which leaves the population vulnerable to the actions of criminals.
Journalist Altino Machado provided security cameras to monitor the area, hoping to increase surveillance and prevent new crimes. The measure generated diverse reactions on social media, with internet users expressing relief at the help, but also concern about the public safety situation in the city.
