is preparing to begin one of its most ambitious projects: the construction of the 19-Celeste line. Scheduled to start in 2025, this new line will connect Bosque Maia, in Guarulhos, to the neighborhood, in the center of the capital of São Paulo. The company responsible for the project is currently preparing the notice for the contracting process for the executive project, which should be launched in the first quarter of next year. The expectation is that the contracts will be signed and the projects will begin to be prepared by the end of 2025, with the works effectively starting in 2026.

The tender for line 19-Celeste will be divided into three lots, each responsible for a specific part of the executive project, which will provide the technical details necessary for construction. The first batch will cover a section with five stations and six ventilation shafts between Bosque Maia and Itapegica. The second lot will include five stations between Jardim Julieta and Vila Maria, in addition to the Vila Medeiros courtyard. The third batch will comprise five stations from Catumbi to Anhangabaú. Furthermore, the contract provides for adjustments to the São Bento stations, on line 1-Blue, and Anhangabaú, on line 3-Red, which will be connected to the new line, in addition to the installation of auxiliary systems such as escalators and elevators.

The future line 19-Celeste will be a crucial link to Guarulhos, the second most populous municipality in the state of São Paulo. When completed, the line will be more than 17 km long and will have 15 stations, operating with a fleet of 31 trains. It is estimated that around 630,000 passengers will use the line daily, which could reduce travel time by up to an hour. Furthermore, the route will offer connections with three other metro lines, significantly increasing urban mobility in the region.

The estimated budget for the construction of line 19-Celeste is R$19.5 billion, with the investment being made gradually throughout the implementation period. This project not only promises to improve public transport infrastructure, but also boost the economic and social development of the areas served, providing a faster and more efficient transport alternative for thousands of people.
