You’re already planning New Year’s Eve menu? Be sure to save in it a warm snack for New Year’s Eve. The base of this dish is toasted bread. This is quite a controversial product, after all, it is much healthier to eat whole grain sourdough bread. However, it will be perfect for preparing this dish. Between two slices there is chewy cheese and juicy and aromatic minced meat. This dish will be a real hit during the party.
To prepare a warm snack for New Year’s Eveyou will need:
- 1 package of toast bread,
- 200 g of yellow cheese in cubes,
- 8 eggs,
- 50 g of dried tomatoes.
Minced meat:
- 400 g ground beef,
- 1 shallot,
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper,
- ¼ teaspoon of salt,
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper,
- ¼ teaspoon of chili.
Additionally:
- frying oil,
- Prepare the minced meat.
Heat the oil in a pan. Add minced meat and finely chopped shallot. Season with spices to taste and fry until golden brown. While frying, crumble the meat with a spatula and pour off excess rendered fat. The mixture should be quite dry.
Prepare the toast. Cut the tomatoes into thin strips and cut the cheese into fairly thick slices. Take out the slices of toast and divide them into batches of 2. In each of the slices, cut out the inside, leaving a frame of peel about 0.5 cm thick. Place them on an oven tray lined with aluminum foil.
Spread a few pieces of tomatoes evenly on each whole slice. Place 2 slices of cheese on them so that they do not go beyond the edge of the bread. Cover with a slice with the center cut out.
Place the minced meat in the hole created. Place an egg on top. Repeat for all remaining pairs of toast. Put the whole thing in the oven set to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 15-20 minutes until the egg is set. A warm snack for New Year’s Eve serve immediately after preparation, while it is crispy.
