Basic food basket prices rise in Acre in November; coffee and oil saw the biggest increase

Data released by the State Department of Planning (Seplan), through the Department of Research and Indicator Studies (Deepi), shows that the cost of the basic food basket, between the months of June and November 2024, had a slight reduction of 0 70% in Rio Branco, which in reais corresponds to R$ 4.61.

However, when considering only the month of November, the study shows that the total cost of the basic food basket was R$553.60. The increase was R$7.69 when compared to the month of October.

The items that showed the greatest increase in value were coffee (8.19%), oil (8.19%), meat (4.65%) and chicken (4.12%). While cassava flour (-1.26%), cassava (-1.25%) and butter (-1.16%) had the biggest price reduction.

In November, in addition to the increase in the value of the basic food basket (1.41%), domestic cleaning and personal hygiene baskets also increased when compared to the month of October, 0.48% and 0.18% respectively.

The basic food basket cost survey collected data from 56 small, medium and large commercial establishments, distributed in 39 neighborhoods in the capital of Acre.
