Complications on Slovak roads: Fog and icy snow, three cars collided on the R7

On Wednesday morning, drivers must watch out for fog with visibility of 50 to 200 meters, which is in the Prešovský and Košice regions. There is icy snow in places on road II/537 in the section Liptovský Hrádok – Podbanské and on roads III. classes in the Liptovský Hrádok district. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) informs about this on its website zjazdnost.sk.

The Príslop mountain pass is closed to traffic with a total length of over 12 meters. Other mountain passes are skiable with restrictions, the surface of the roads is mostly damp to wet, the Štós crossing has a road surface covered in places with compacted snow one centimeter thick. Routes I., II. and III. classes are passable, road surface is dry to wet. At higher altitudes, there is rarely a layer of slushy or compacted snow on the roadways.

Green wave STVR reports on Wednesday morning a convoy at the entrance to Bratislava from Stupava on D2, drivers will be there for 20 minutes. It also informs about an accident on the D1 at the Senec exit, where a truck collided with a passenger car in the connector to the highway towards Bratislava, blocking the left lane. Between Šamorín and Kvetoslavov at the R7 exit towards Bratislava, three cars collided again.
