Paris – France’s former president Nicolas Sarkozy has to serve a year in prison with an electronic ankle bracelet. The Court of Cassation in Paris rejected the politician’s appeal against a conviction for bribery and illicit influence, it said in a statement. (APA, December 18, 2024)
