The (Supreme Federal Court) holds the last hearing of the year this Wednesday (18).
The court will receive representatives and leaders to speak about topics that interest their ethnic groups.
The Marco Temporal conciliation table at the Supreme Court, reported by Minister Gilmar Mendes, faced obstacles with indigenous representatives after the (Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil), in August, under allegations of racism and unconstitutionality in the conduct of negotiations.
The Supreme Court remained at the table even with the departure led by Apib, considered the largest people’s organization in the country and which brings together several other associations.

The movement was poorly received by regional indigenous councils and by Apib itself, which stated, at the time, that those appointed by the department are part of the staff of federal government bodies and that, therefore, they would not be on behalf of the indigenous movement.
The deadline for holding the conciliation hearing sessions regarding the time frame was . Originally, the meetings were scheduled to end on December 18th.
In the Monday session (17), anthropologists and social scientists were heard about the production of anthropological and ethnographic work used to demarcate lands traditionally occupied by indigenous peoples and communities.
Among the participants in the session was federal deputy Célia Xakriabá (PSOL-MG), who has a doctorate in anthropology from UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais).
