Part of Europe must prepare for an Arctic storm in the coming days before Christmas. As the newspaper reports, it will hit the UK in particular, where it can snow for up to 30 hours straight. At the same time, Western Europe must prepare for the overall arrival of cold weather and ice.
Cold air and snow showers are expected to arrive already on Thursday, and it is expected to be worst on Saturday over the territory of Scotland, also in central and northeastern England. Temperatures will hover at the freezing point, dropping to -3 °C in the north. The south-east of England will be plagued by rainy weather again. After that, the weather could stabilize and temperatures rise to average values. The snow will then be kept only in higher positions.
Warm air still flowed into Slovakia on Wednesday, which could exceed +10 °C, the portal reports. After Thursday, which will also be warm, it should cool down and several transitional fronts should also bring the expected snowfall. Some areas of Slovakia will be happy about that already on Friday!
