BNG assures that “there is room to negotiate” the tax on energy companies
The BNG deputy, Néstor Rego, stated this Thursday, regarding the tax on energy companies, which is being the main obstacle to the approval of the tax reform promoted by the Government, that “there is room to negotiate.” In statements to the media in the halls of the Congress of Deputies, Rego pointed out that his party defends “with consistency what we always said and what we believe in.” Furthermore, he considered it “an achievement that the Government and the PSOE are committed to this tax and, from there, we will see what happens.”
However, he stressed that “there is room, at least so that the conditions under which this tax can go forward can be negotiated.” The BNG deputy admitted that the difficult parliamentary structure to achieve the support that is needed “implies that it will have to be adjusted.” (Servimedia)
