Night chase in the streets of Bratislava: Police detained Češka, she escaped through three city districts

The Bratislava police detained a 43-year-old woman from the Czech Republic at night, for whom an arrest warrant was issued. The woman driving the motor vehicle was first stopped by the road patrol on Mamateyova street in Bratislava, but she decided to escape.

She tried to escape the police by driving fast and dangerously, during which she got from Petržalka to Staré Mesto and then Ružinova to Vrakun. “During her drive, she violated the rules of the road and threatened the drivers of other vehicles. She continued to Kazanská Street, where she tried to get out of the vehicle together with her female passengers,” explained Jana Šimunková, spokeswoman for the Regional Directorate of the Police Force (KR PZ) in Bratislava.

The police foiled the escape attempt, then subjected the driver to a breathalyzer test for alcohol, as well as a drug test. “He ended up testing positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine,” pointed out the police spokeswoman.

She added that the detained woman refused a toxicological examination at the hospital. “By refusing, she committed the crime of endangerment under the influence of an addictive substance,” Šimunková added. The police officers seized the woman’s driver’s license, in connection with the issuance of the European arrest warrant, they are carrying out other necessary actions.
