Strike in large distribution: workers stop on December 24th and 31st

Workers demand “fair wage increases”. Last year, Sitese also went on strike at Christmas time.

Large distribution workers called a strike for the 24th and 31st of December, in a fight for salary increases, announced the Service Sector Workers Union (Sitese).

In one, the union structure said it sent “a prior notice of strike to the Government and social partners for workers in companies affiliated with APED [Associação Portuguesa de Empresas de Distribuição] for December 24th and 31st, 2024”.

“We fight for fair salary increases, which recognize effort and dedication, the conciliation between family and professional life, an essential right for the quality of life of workers.”

Last year, Sitese also went on strike at Christmas time.
