The Chamber of Deputies this Thursday (Dec 19, 2024), in 2 rounds, the PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution) on cutting government spending. In the 2nd analysis, 348 deputies voted in favor of the text and 146 against.
The text deals with super salaries, salary bonuses and basic education expenses.
Only the parties PL, Novo, Psol and Rede voted against. Deputies now analyze the highlights of the proposal – specific suggestions for the text. The project will then be sent to the Senate.
The proposal was approved in the last moments of Congress activity this final week. Minutes before the vote, there were still doubts about its approval, which requires a minimum of 308 votes in the plenary.
