This morning’s Russian attack on Kiev hit the Portuguese embassy in Ukraine, confirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
In a statement, the MNE says there was “material damage to several diplomatic missions, including the chancellery of the Portuguese Embassy.”
Following this attack, the Portuguese Government sent for the Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Federation “so that a formal protest could be lodged with the Russian Federation”.
“It is absolutely unacceptable that any attack could target or have an impact on areas of diplomatic installations”, argues the Portuguese Government.
