The former singer of the girl group Black Milk has died tragically. According to the information of the portal Helena Zeťová fell out of the window. She was 44 years old. “Something is happening, you’re right, it’s true information. We don’t know if Helena is alive,” said the singer’s manager, who had terse information in the first moments.
According to the source, her father found her dead. “The ambulance didn’t help anymore, they’re just waiting for the funeral service“, said a witness from the scene of the tragedy. The police have already confirmed the sad news. “I can confirm that this morning we received a notification about the death of a forty-four-year-old woman whose body was found near one of the houses in the village of Prostredná Bečva,” police spokesman Petr Jaroš told Blesk, adding that the investigation is at the very beginning.
Last year, Helena Zeťová opened up about her suffering in an interview with zvobrila. As an artist, the corona crisis hit her hard, and in 2022 she underwent an operation that took a painful toll. “I started walking and running in the mountains, spending time with my friends and loved ones. And when it started to relax, covid receded, I underwent an operation that took more time than I thought and planned,” she admitted to the Czech portal at the time.
“Sports and everything like that had to go by the wayside, and for the rest of 2022 I struggled with it in various ways. As post-operative complications, pain in the lumbar spine, which I had never experienced before, appeared. Anyway, I am recovering from it, I am rehabilitating diligently and I am very happy that I can slowly function normally again,” the singer added at the time, while never specifying what kind of surgery she underwent.
Zeťová started her career as a teenager. As a 15-year-old, she performed with a rock band and later performed with an American group in Lanzarote, Spain. They founded Black Milk in 2001 together with Tereza Černochová and Terezá Kerndlová. A year later, they rejoiced at winning the Czech Nightingale in the Discovery of the Year category. The trio broke up in 2005 and Helena embarked on a solo career. With her first album Ready To Roll, she won the Jumper of the Year title.
You may also remember Zeťová as a judge from Czecho-Slovakian SuperStar. She sat in the chair together with Paľ Haber, rapper Rytmus and Czech lyricist Gabriela Osvaldová. Helena lived in Greece for several years. After returning to her native country, she planned a big comeback, which, unfortunately, she did not live to see.
