Argentine football will have a clash of champions this Saturday (21/12). Vélez Sarsfield, Argentine champion last Sunday (15), will face Estudiantes, champion of the Argentine League Cup, held in the first semester. The Trofeo de Campeones takes place at 9pm, at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades, in Santiago del Estero.
Despite the victory in the Argentine League Cup, Estudiantes will have an opportunity to end the year well, as it comes from an irregular semester, finishing 12th in the Argentino.
For Vélez Sarsfield, the Trofeo de Campeones is another opportunity for glory, after winning the national championship for the first time in 10 years against Huracán, last weekend.
The Trofeo de Campeones began to be played in 2019 and, to date, only two clubs have become champions: River Plate and Racing Club, with two cups each.
