The shock was still in the bones of the people in Magdeburg and all of Germany on Saturday. Almost exactly on the eighth anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Christmas market at Breitscheidplatz in Berlin, a man drove a vehicle through a crowd again. This time it hit people who were at the Magdeburg Christmas market in the center of the city on Friday evening. At least five people were killed and 200 were injured – dozens of them seriously. According to authorities, many were still struggling with death on Saturday evening. The dead are four adults and a nine-year-old child.
