Company alleges “technical issues” for canceling 11 flights to destinations such as Brasília, Rio and Vitória
For the second time in 4 days, Azul Linhas Aéreas canceled flights at Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP). The reason given was “technical issues”. The problem was reported this Friday (Dec 20, 2024), affecting 11 flights to capitals such as Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, Goiânia and Vitória.
In total, 19 flights were canceled during the week. On Tuesday (Dec 17), the company did not operate 8 planned routes. Azul, in a statement, expressed regret for the inconveniences and emphasized that the safety of operations is a priority.
The company assured that affected passengers are receiving assistance and reaccommodation options. According to Azul, cancellations were communicated at least 24 hours in advance. Travelers who planned to spend Christmas in other cities had their flights postponed until later dates.
“Azul regrets any inconvenience caused and reinforces that actions like this are necessary to guarantee the safety of its operations, a fundamental value for the company”the company stated.
