Cristina Graeml stated that she has plans to run for the Senate or the government of Paraná in 2026

candidate defeated in the 2nd round of the election for the Mayor of Curitiba, announced her disaffiliation from the PMB (Brazilian Women’s Party). According to her, leaving the party does not mean the end of her political life. He stated that he has plans for 2026: to run for the Senate or for the government of Paraná.

“​​From now on, I, who ran for mayor of Curitiba for the PMB, am no longer linked to any party […] This was just the beginning of a political movement.”said Cristina Graeml on her Instagram profile.

Cristina’s departure from the PMB had been expected since she was a candidate, when the party’s national command tried to prevent her from running. The PMB even declared neutrality when Cristina reached the 2nd round of the election.

In her communication of disaffiliation, Cristina thanked the local PMB, state and municipal executives.

Elections 2024

(PSD), 40, was elected mayor of Curitiba. She had 57.64% of valid votes (these are those given to candidates, therefore excluding blank and null votes), against 42.36% for Cristina Graeml (PMB), 54 years old, 2nd place.
